近所のお祭りでゆうか、凜、はなの、しほが浴衣姿を披露

お盆にマミーの実家に遊びに行ったよ。じぃじとばぁばは大喜び。
Lin and Mommy visited Grandma and Grandad Ohno for the Obon vacation.

マミーが浴衣を着せてくれたの。
It's time to put on the yukata for fireworks

お家の前で花火をしたよ。
一人で出来るのよ、凄いでしょー。
Look, I can do fireworks by myself.

諏訪湖の花火大会にマミーと奈美ちゃんと行ったけど、
最初の3発で怖くなったらしく「お家に帰りたい」を連発。
せっかくキレイだったのになぁ・・・。
Lin went to the Lake Suwa fireworks show,
but after the first three explosions she got scared and started repeating " I wanna go home"

マミーのお友達のところでお手玉を胸に入れて
「どう？ナイスバディー？」
Mommy's friends put balls in Lin's shirt.
Are these silicon?

岡谷の太鼓祭りで2日間色んな所で太鼓を見たよ。
お家の前にも叩きに来て凜も「カーンカーン」ってお手伝い。
At the Okaya Drum Festival.
Lin banged sticks together to help.

この風船もう膨らまないねぇ。
This baloon just wont get any bigger.

お友達のノリ君の家に遊びに行く。
「凜ちゃんはっきりしない男は嫌いよ！」
Lin pretends not to like Nori

「分かったよ、チューして仲直りしよう」
But as always ends up kissing and making up.

凜　「うふ、許しちゃう」
ノリ　「ふう、女は難しいぜ」
Lin: I think I like him after all.
Nori: Girls are weird.


岡谷では、お盆の入りと明けに白樺の木の皮を燃やし煙りに乗って
亡くなったご先祖様を家に呼び入れ、また送り返す儀式をします。
凜はこの儀式の事を何故か「つっぱりお爺さん」と言ってた。
なんだそりゃ？
In Okaya, during Obon(the festival of the dead) it is traditional to burn a piece of birchbark to welcome one's ancestors home, and then again at the end of the festival to send them off.

マミーの実家のお墓にお墓参りに。
凜もお墓の草むしりをお手伝いしたよ。
Lin went to visit the Ohno family gravestone and helped clear away the weeds.
(In Japan, most families have one gravestone inside which the ashes of many family members are kept.)

隣のナオちゃんとお医者さんごっこ。
「凜ちゃんお腹痛いんですぅ」
Nao from next door diagnoses Lin's tummyache.
