(The Merry Run is a new tradition started last year when we decorate our bikes, dress up as reindeer and Santas and such, and ride through Tokyo distributing smiles, Christmas cheer, and lollipops. Lin didn't come along, but helped set up.)

Bath Practice at the Hospital
At out hospital, the only time the father is allowed to touch the baby for the first week is during bath practice, so Dad took a day off.
She still doesn't open her eyes much.
She squirmed a lot until getting in the water, but calmed down instantly and enjoyed her bath.

Labor took less than 4 hours, and went relatively smoothly,
partially because of Yuri's maternity swimming classes
Yuri was strong mentally and physically throughout.
Dad's muscles were aching the next day even though Yuri did all the work.

Photo's aren't allowed in the delivery room, but I didn't let that stop me.
A new brand of bottled tea with the brand name "Lin" (same Chinese character) came out a month or so before birth, so we put it in some of the pictures.

The nurse wrote Yuri's name on Lin's leg to guard against mistaken identity, but I don't think Lin could be mistaken for any of the other babies.
